Formerly known as Werkshotel, the Rothschild Palace was designed by architect Hans Ulrich and built in 1887. It was the high-society meeting point and the place to stay for travelling business partners of Vítkovice Iron Works back in the early 20th century. Salomon Meyer Freiherr von Rothschild, a major industrialist and owner of Vítkovice Iron Works, had his office in the main building. The Rothschild office is still around and was restored to its original state.

The U-shaped red-brick building is an enlisted national monument of culture since 1958.
 

The great hall, the centre point of Rothschild Palace, will accommodate an audience of 200 or 160 in case of theatre or dance floor arrangements respectively. A splendid venue for public or corporate social events. The two meeting rooms for 30 participants each are available for training, workshops, presentations, etc.

The cellar belongs to the Rothschild Wine Parlour, an after hours retreat keen to indulge your senses with a selection of excellent South-African and local wines, cognac and whiskey brands and smoked meat and cheese delicacies from all over Europe served with the wine. Plus a great selection of cigars from all over the world.

Last but not least, Rothschild Palace has a temperature-conditioned gym for all sorts of sports including volleyball, badminton, indoor football, table tennis and more. Other than sports activities are also welcome.

A guarded private parking lot for 80 cars is available to all community centre visitors. This includes visitors to the wine parlour, bar and gym. The parking lot is at the back of the premises. Parking entrance is located at the tram stop in Ruská Street.
